The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) represents one third of the UK government’s business. It is responsible for the calculation, accountancy and payment of benefits and pensions for the UK.
In 2006 DWP began an extensive modernisation programme that included replacement of applications, systems changes and changes to business processes within all key areas of the organisation.
Representing the finance community within the DWP, our work included designing, providing assurance and delivering a planned Finance Transformation Programme.
Through setting policy, direction and intent and extensive consultation we refreshed the programme and united the different points of view within DWP.
Our strategy and delivery package for managing technology change, business process and change management resulted in an effectively delivered programme.
